JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Pius X School is seeking a dedicated full-time Physical Education Teacher to join our team starting September 2025. QUALIFICATIONS
Certified teacher with current or previous experience in Physical Education.
Strong proficiency in a wide range of sports and physical activities.
Previous coaching experience is an asset.
Experience in working with students of all abilities.
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students (K-7), staff, and parents.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school setting.
Ideally, a practicing Catholic with a deep respect for Catholic teachings and values.
Previous experience in CISVA-athletics an asset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement engaging and inclusive physical education lessons in a variety of environments, including the gym and outside areas of the school.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love for physical activity.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
Provide coaching and support for extracurricular sports activities throughout the year.
Assist with the co-ordination of the various sports seasons (distributing, scheduling practices and game, etc.)
Cultivate a positive, respectful, and engaging environment.
