As part of a Franciscan faith community, St. Joseph the Worker School shares in the mission of the Church to proclaim and build the Kingdom of God. Located in Richmond near the waterfront village of Steveston, the school is a vibrant learning centre that nurtures and develops the whole child; mind, body and spirit. Faith formation is integrated throughout the curriculum as we help each student to develop a personal relationship with God. JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Joseph the Worker Elementary School is seeking a full time Grade 4 teacher starting September 1, 2025. The ideal candidate is looking to join a school where the staff work as a team to nurture and develop the whole child; mind, body and spirit. This person understands effective classroom management strategies, they are passionate about teaching, learning and their faith, they show a strong understanding of how to effectively implement the B.C. curriculum, and they are able to reach students with a variety of abilities and needs. The ideal candidate will also see themselves as part of the school community and will contribute to our school’s extracurricular programs. On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year, but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
