The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. Our schools are located throughout the Greater Vancouver Area, near the best sites and attractions that Vancouver and British Columbia has to offer. Our footprint extends over 250 kilometers from Powell River in the west to Chilliwack in the east.

Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary is located in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Kwikwetlem First Nation which lies within the shared territories of the Tsleil-Waututh, Katzie, Musqueam, Squamish and Sto:lo Nations. We are a vibrant school community centred in Christ, and our primary commitment is to educate students in a Catholic environment, to challenge them to excel in all virtuous aspects of life, and to encourage them to use their gifts in the service of the community. At Archbishop Carney Regional, our staff strive to offer our students with the highest quality of education through our many academic, athletics, and fine and performing arts programs and clubs.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary School is seeking a qualified Physical Health Education and Social Studies teacher to join our dedicated and diverse staff. The successful candidate will be Catholic, possess a valid BC teaching certificate and will be skilled at working with students of all abilities. The ability to teach math and coach either or both of volleyball or basketball would be seen as an asset. Applicants can submit their information through the Make a Future website.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year, but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
