JOB DESCRIPTION

Holy Trinity School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, enthusiastic Full-Time Elementary School Teacher to join our vibrant school community starting in September 2025. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive, faith-based environment, where you will play a key role in shaping the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of our students.

As an integral member of the Holy Trinity team, the successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues, engage with parents, and contribute to an atmosphere of respect, teamwork and excitement for learning. We value team members who are passionate about education and enjoy creating an engaging, fun, and positive work place and classroom experience.

Candidates must have a valid BC Teacher Regulation Branch certification, or have applied to the TRB and the certificate is pending. Previous experience teaching in an elementary school setting is preferred, but if you are just graduating from your Professional Development Program and are eager and excited to teach, this might be the first year of wonderful career in teaching children.

Salaries and benefits as per the CISVA salary scale.

Responsibilities:

Instructional Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that align with the CISVA curriculum and standards.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic achievement, spiritual growth, and personal development.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to students and parents, adjusting instruction as needed to meet individual needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior with consistency and fairness, ensuring a respectful and focused learning atmosphere.

Collaboration and Community Building:

  • Work closely with fellow teachers, staff, and administrators to promote a strong school culture and effective fun learning environment.
  • Participate in school-wide activities, including staff meetings, professional development, and extracurricular events.

Faith and Values Integration:

  • Incorporate Catholic teachings and values into everyday classroom activities.
  • Actively participate in school-wide faith-based activities, such as prayer services, liturgies, and community events.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year, but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
