JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you passionate about inspiring young learners to embrace the French culture and language? St. Marys School is seeking a dedicated part-time (0.6) FSL teacher to teach students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 in a vibrant and faith-filled school community commencing September 1, 2025. If you are a skilled educator with a love for language and a commitment to excellence, we would love to hear from you.
QUALIFICATIONS
Practicing Catholic with a deep respect for Catholic teachings and values.
Certified teacher with experience in French instruction (AIM methodology is an asset).
Ability to engage English Language Learners and adapt lessons.
Strong classroom management, organization, and collaboration skills.
Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement engaging French lessons from K to Grade 7 three full days per week.
Creative a dynamic learning experience that inspires a love for the French language and culture.
Organize cultural events, activities, and guest speakers to enhance language learning.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year, but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
